Dev Devli

SYNOPSIS

Devli belongs to an influential family, granddaughter of Surya Pratap Singh (thakur). She has been the most pampered child in the house. The Thakurs pujari Karunashankar adopts an orphan, Dev and brings him up like his own son. Dev grows up to be an intelligent and good natured human being who SP Singh supports financially for education.

When Dev returns from the city, he is spellbound by Devli but does not express his feelings. Devli, ignorant of his live, is married off into an equally affluent family. On the third day of her married life, Devli is widowed and a world of sorrow befalls her in the form of all the rules and regulations imposed on her by the society for losing her husband ! (?). News of this chaos in Devlis life reaches Devs ears and he is shell shocked. He takes an oath to get her out of this hell at all costs.
